Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History
This museum is in the Midtown area of Detroit. The museum boasts the 2nd largest collection devoted to African American culture, 2nd only to the National Museum in DC. If you want to explore beyond the museum, you'll be within walking distance to the Michigan Science Center, Detroit Institute of Arts, Detroit Historical Museum, Detroit Main Library, plenty of restaurants & shops, and you can take the free Q-Line train to get downtown.
